Artist's Statement
With meticulous intricacy I create drawings and sculptural
environments that elicit pause, contemplation, and
stillness as a respite from the fast pace of contemporary
life. I
direct attention to details hidden in plain sight manipulating
light and shadow, scale and perception, translucence
and reflection. Using an abstract language of
refined articulated lines, recent projects demarcate
space in a map-like fashion to create visual metaphors
for a world beyond everyday experiences. Shifting
from micro to macro, my work collapses boundaries
between the physical and metaphysical.
